Slattery Associates, Inc. was the GC on a $70 million contract to construct Phase II and III of Riverbank State Park for the NY State Parks Dept. through the Office of General Services. The park is located on the roof of the North River Water Pollution Control Plant in Manhattan, NY.
Sal Norberto supervised the installation of the swimming pools systems. The $750,000 subcontract for the two outdoor pools and one Olympic size, heated indoor pool was completed on time.
Sal is a knowledgeable and skilled hands-on supervisor who inspired his employees to match his own fast work pace and extracting standards of workmanship. All of his pressure tests passed the first.
Sal kept his workplace clean and well organized at all times.
The client was very pleased with the high quality of the finished work.

“During the time of 1993 through 1997, I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Anthony Norberto.
We hired Mr. Norberto to build a very large residential swimming pool in a very difficult area of a large site located on Long Island Sound. In addition to the pool’s unusual size, depth and shape, the design called for two hot tubs, a waterfall, a slide and a bar area. Mr. Norberto, acting as the project manager, achieved the project parameters and delivered the project on time.
Subsequently, we awarded Mr. Norberto’s company four more projects at the same jobsite: two indoor pools, an indoor “lagoon” to be stocked with fish and a very large exterior fountain complex which will greet visitors to the estate. To date, all have been completed with the exception of the fountains, which are currently under construction.
I found Mr. Norberto to be extremely qualified, highly organized and possessing great experience in his field. Mr. Norberto was very easy to work with and always considerate of the jobsite, the owner, our management and other trades. Always present at the jobsite, he was always willing to listen and to act on our concerns. If a problem arose, he would offer possible solutions and work with us to quickly resolve the issues.
